About
I’m a 30-something year old happily married (check out my wife’s cooking blog!) computer engineer that has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from designing chips in VHDL to creating moderately large web projects. Experimenting with anything to do computers makes me happy although I’ve recently decided that doing front-end code brings me less joy.
Although I cut my teeth programming on the LAMP stack, I eventually moved to doing a lot of work in C and now find myself engrossed in Python. I know enough JavaScript to be dangerous, enough networking to give real network engineers a headache, and have picked up many Linux tricks over the years. I like to think that I have cobbled together enough knowledge to fix any misbehaving computer, program, or small-to-medium sized network.
I grew up in the Chicagoland area in the United States, moved eastward until I eventually hit the Atlantic Ocean, and then decided to hop over the ocean to make a temporary home in England.
